How Taspen's Organics & Holistic Wellness Center Began

Heather grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and moved to Colorado after she graduated from Nursing School at South Dakota State University in 2000. Heather feels very fortunate to live in Colorado because she loves the nature, beauty and serenity of the mountains and the countless opportunities this great state has to offer.

Heather worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the hospital setting in Denver for 7 years. She has always enjoyed helping others with their health, which is the reason she became an RN. For many years Heather experienced inner ear congestion, which affected her hearing. After many medical exams and multiple medications, she became very frustrated when the problem persisted. Heather met an Herbalist, made an appointment for a consultation and began a nutritional and herbal supplementation program. This solved the issue she was having with her ears!

This success brought about a profound interest in nutrition, herbs and natural healing, so she decided to take courses to complete a Master Herbalist Certification. Heather learned about BodyTalk from some friends and was very intrigued. She talked with her husband, Keith (who is also very passionate about holistic health) and decided it would be best if he took module 1 & 2. After Keith completed it, he encouraged Heather to take module 1 & 2 a month later. BodyTalk has changed their lives and they are very excited to have added another health care modality to offer their clients. Heather believes her training and experience in nursing, coupled with her Master Herbalist Training Program and BodyTalk training gives her a unique opportunity to provide her clients with integrated health care solutions. Keith & Heather are so excited that they have found their passion in life and look forward to sharing what they have learned with other people.

Keith and Heather's dreams are becoming a reality with the opening of Taspen's Organics & Holistic Wellness Center. They have a retail area along with a place to do their consultations and host many classes, seminars and workshops. They are renting space to holistic practitioners to create a sacred space for a community of healers. Taspen's is a warm, comfortable space in a beautiful log building in the gorgeous mountains in Conifer, CO.

Keith and Heather have a two wonderful small children. Being parents has provided them with an interest in natural healing for pregnancy, postpartum, babies and children. They make Organic/natural products (herbal bath and tea blends, skin care products, herbal extracts and tinctures) and feel blessed to have the opportunity to share them with others.

Keith and Heather love to be outdoors camping, kayaking, snowboarding, hiking, listening to music, going to shows and music festivals and spending time with friends and family.
